Our client is currently seeking a permanent Laboratory Technician to safely and efficiently operate their laboratory within their chemical processing plant in Bunbury.

To be effective in the role, you would have knowledge of technical and quality processes and related legislation and standards.  You would have a thorough understanding of laboratory operations, hold a current Occupational First Aid Certificate and Six Sigma Yellow Belt qualifications.

You daily role would entail providing and conducting testing in accordance with specific methods, agreed timetables, and costs, ensuring results are accurate and reflect product quality.

You would consider yourself a team player, and have the ability to identify and share continuous improvement ideas that may enhance process safety and cost reduction.  Maintaining a high level of housekeeping would also be part of your daily responsibilities to the site, your team and yourself.  You would also need to make yourself available for call-outs and perform other duties as required.
